Feeling sluggish lately? Snap out of your slumber with Aki’s own Mizuna Mind Opener recipe. Packed with mizuna, fruits, and the punch of ginger, this will slap you with a handful of nutrients and give you the energy to get on with doing good things with your day. If you are in Tokyo make sure to stop by the Ginza Farmers Market and pick up some mizuna and other greens from Aki, as well as all the fruits you can handle from her and other vendors.
Ingredients:
1.5 cups (300ml) water
1 bag mizuna
3 oranges or 1.5 cups orange juice
1 large apple
1-inch piece of ginger (10g)
Peel the ginger and fruit, slice the apple, and cut of the roots of the mizuna. Gently place all the ingredients in a high power blender. Blend on high for a minute. Pour it out, and as they say in Japan, Kanpai!
