For the Halloween edition of the Weekly, I took a detour on the creative front to make another short Tokyo music video. I happened upon this frightening menace at the Nijubashimae subway station on the way to the farmers market on Saturday. Funny, as Nijubashimae is the wrong stop – I was day dreaming (ok I was looking at my cell phone like everyone else) and went one stop too far. But I’m glad fate expedited the process of getting this particular song out there, as it’s been hanging in the books since July 2012.

Again no time for the market this week, except to note the violent risk on trade taking place as stocks put in yet another v-shaped bottom. Though the move is impressive, and SentimenTrader’s studies broadly point to higher markets ahead, we almost have to put on an end-of-QE trade given that the market has given us this gift of new highs. At the very least I’m using recent weakness to cover shorts in Treasuries, and I will look at a 1-3 month short of stocks when I next make time for the market. We should also accumulate more yen here.
